Why it matters

Every missed call is a lost enquiry

The alternative to answering every call is not free. It is a receptionist you can't afford to staff around the clock, a human service that bills per call, or voicemail nobody leaves a message on.

An empty reception desk after hours, the phone unanswered

€2,900 a month

That is roughly what a full-time receptionist costs an employer in Ireland once employer PRSI is added — for a 39-hour week. Evenings and weekends still go unanswered.

€199 for 100 calls

Europe's large human answering services bill a standing charge plus every call answered: ebuero, Germany's biggest, lists €59.90 a month plus €1.39 a call, weekdays only, with English answering charged on top. (Its own price list, read 10 September 2026.)

85% won't call back

A first-time caller who reaches voicemail usually rings the next practice on the list. (Widely quoted industry figure — we'll publish our own data from the first cohort.)

What you get

Everything a good receptionist does, on every call

Five promises we can show you today, plus a ten-minute set-up. The proof behind each one is on our trust page.

Answers every call, instantly, 24/7

No voicemail, no engaged tone; the caller talks to someone in seconds.

Does the work, not just the greeting

Books into the calendar, captures structured messages, transfers with a whisper, queues callbacks.

You see everything

Transcript and summary in your inbox minutes after each call; call log in the dashboard.

Built for EU rules

A recording notice before anything is recorded, retention you choose, erasure and export in one click, a published sub-processor register — and a plain statement that calls are processed in London, not in the EU.

Honest about AI

Says it is an assistant, hands over to a human when it should, never pretends.

Set up in ten minutes

Forward your existing line to your Phone Call Desk number — after hours, when busy, or all the time. Nothing to install.

How it works

Live in ten minutes, without changing your number

Forward your line, tell it about your business, and hear it call you. Most customers start with evenings and weekends and widen the hours once they've read a week of transcripts.

Step 1

Forward your line

Point your existing number at your Phone Call Desk Irish number — after hours, when busy, or all the time. Most customers start with evenings and weekends.

Step 2

It answers in your name

A short script tells it who you are, what you offer and what it must never say. It greets callers as your business and says it is an assistant.

Step 3

It does the job

Books into Google Calendar, takes a structured message, transfers to the right person with a whisper, or queues a callback for business hours.

Step 4

You get the transcript

A summary and the full transcript land in your inbox minutes after the call. Every call, message and booking is in the dashboard.

Website booking

Your website books into the same diary as your phone

Two lines on any page, or our WordPress plugin, put a booking form on your website that offers the same times the assistant offers on the phone — from one diary, so a visitor and a caller are never given the same one.

Who it's for

Built for businesses whose revenue starts with a phone call

Appointment-led practices, trades on the tools, agents out on viewings: businesses that already pay for the calls they miss.

Solicitors on the phone to a client

Every enquiry captured with matter type and urgency; confidential; the solicitor calls back within the hour.

Dental and medical practices on the phone to a client

Books straight into the diary; frees the front desk; transcripts show what was said.

Trades on the phone to a client

Answers while you work, emails you the job details, books the call-out; cheaper than a missed job.

Estate agents and auctioneers taking a call

Qualifies buyers and tenants, books viewings, routes maintenance; every call logged. Ask us about multi-office set-ups.

Questions we hear a lot

Straight answers

“Callers hate talking to a robot.”

They hate voicemail more. The assistant says what it is, answers in a second, and hands over to a person whenever asked. We measure hang-ups: on our test cohort callers stay because they get an answer.

“Is it open in Ireland?”

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. You can hear the assistant answer today — the demo rings Irish mobiles — but we cannot sell you an Irish number until sign-up collects the business address the regulator requires and our euro prices are live with our payment provider. The trust page lists everything still missing. Leave your details and we will write to you before we open, not after.

“Where does my callers' data go?”

Today it is processed on our London servers, in the UK, and we say so on every page rather than leaving you to find out. An EU-only processing chain is what the Enterprise / Compliance plan is for, and an EU cell is designed but not running. If EU-only processing is a condition for you, tell us and it moves up the list.

“Placetel and fonio charge less per minute.”

Per minute, they do: Placetel sells 750 minutes for €69, fonio 1,000 for €119. Per month, we are the cheapest way to start — €49 against €69 and €119 — with no seats to buy and no twelve-month commitment. Below about 270 minutes a month we are cheaper outright; above it, they are. We would rather tell you where the line is than hide it.

“Does it speak Irish, or German, or French?”

No. English only, with an Irish English voice available. That is exactly why Ireland is first and why we are not selling in Germany or France: an assistant that answers a German caller in English is worse than no assistant.

“We'll wait until AI is better.”

Hear it answer first — that costs you nothing and takes a minute. If it is not good enough for your callers today, you will know in that one call, and we would rather you found out then than after paying.

Hear it answer your own phone.

Enter your number and email, click the confirmation link, and Sophie rings your Irish mobile within a minute — no account needed. That part works today. Buying it in Ireland does not yet, and the register-interest page says exactly what is missing.
